What have I done?

Become a missionary and moved to Atlanta, Georgia, that’s what!

Don’t worry – I’m still writing books. But if you’ve been wondering why you haven’t heard from me lately, it’s because I’ve spent the past nine months in a whirlwind of change.

Last summer, my husband and I felt God calling us to work with refugees and immigrants. In May, we moved from our quiet lake home in Missouri to a bustling apartment complex where nearly all of our neighbors are Spanish speakers. Two days a week, I drive to a refugee resettlement site to minister to African women and preschoolers, using the Swahili language I learned as a girl growing up in Kenya.
